FABric!

Stop by the NewTV gallery tonight and enjoy their latest exhibit: FABric! Every image is constructed of fabric and fiber, or with fiber as the subject. This show was organized by Newton Open Studios and features Newton artists … including me! Here’s a preview of the exhibit.

My work is usually in the form of three dimensional objects so it was fun to think flat. I’m showing a framed tea towel printed with my grandmother’s cookie recipe and two quilted pillow covers (pillow stuffing removed!) made from my grandfather’s shirts. The quilt pattern comes from my quilt class at Button Box Sewing.

Meet the artists and enjoy some refreshments at the NewTV gallery reception this evening, Wednesday, June 18, 6:30-8:30pm. The show runs through July 15.

NewTV Gallery, 23 Needham St, Newton MA. Entrance at the top of Easy St next to National Lumber.
