Not so easy part? Most sleeves are just too boring. All that style designed into the iPad deserves more than basic black or cutesy prints. That was my friend’s dilemma … but she did have some leftover upholstery fabric …
Turns out, it’s perfect for a protective sleeve.
Her iPad has a smart cover, so I lined the sleeve with satin for a good ‘slippery factor’ and quilted it with a layer of cotton batting for padding. For a finishing touch, I added a little black piping to echo the swirls in the design.
Upholstery fabric is a great solution for electronics covers. Strong, designed for heavy use, and available in great colors and patterns.
What more could an iPad ask for?
