weekly woot!

This week’s woot goes out to contemporary needlepoint artist
Emily Peacock.

With the notable exception of my mother Dora, needlepoint seems to be a neglected art in the States. It shouldn’t be. Needlepoint is quiet work; perfect as an evening “stress-reducer” or “take-along” project wherever you may travel.

Emily hails from the UK and has created kits that seem to radiate her love of the craft. Her bright, modern designs include kits for beginners as well as more experienced crafters. Quality needlepoint kits are pricey, but they include a printed canvas, instructions, and fine wool yarns to make a lasting work of art.

And, as soon as I work down my project pile a bit, I think I’m getting me a new love tattoo!
